Spirituality, Mental health, and Happiness

We all are in a constant quest for happiness, where the means might differ but the end is the same, though subjective. Knowingly or unknowingly humans are spiritual by nature, while some accept it and some don’t.

To me, spirituality is that constant connection with the higher power, which is the supreme and the ultimate connection. A spiritual person always looks within for happiness and connects every situation of his life with god. Hence he is mentally healthier and peaceful, than a person who finds happiness through the outer object

Spiritually inclined people are mentally stronger and can face hardships with ease because they think that whatever situations come in their way, they take it as God’s will and come out of it well. They think that they are the instruments in the hands of God, so they do not take the fruit of their actions, rather surrender it to god. This thought process brings a lot of mental peace and ultimately happiness.

This can be explained with an example, the people working in any organization are at more peace because they surrender their work to its owner. also, suppose the owner thinks that it is he who is running the organization, then he will lose his mental peace because he has taken the dealership upon him, which might cost him his happiness someday.

Spirituality teaches compassion, which uplifts the value of humanity, I feel spirituality has only advantages and no disadvantages,

Coping with physical and emotional pain can be handled with grace.

Qualities like forgiveness and compassion are much.

Many social networks.

Better chances of coping with change and uncertainty.

It uncovers life`s mystery

It has a powerful effect on happiness.

I sometimes feel that spirituality cannot be explained but can only be felt, just like, if there is a bottle of honey and I have written some ten pages about its color, texture, form, chemical composition and the like, but to feel it I have to taste it to understand its sweetness, same goes with spirituality.

Feeling and experiencing spirituality is believing. To understand better, Both theory and practice are important. particularly practice is more essential to increase our faith and ultimately mental health and happiness
